Excibitions

 

 

2007 – “Thrace–Constantinople: Georgios Lampakis’s journey (1902)”
A travelling photographic exhibition which opened on 07/11/2007 at the Byzantine and Christian Museum. The exhibition was shown for the first time at the Komotini Educational Group Folklore Museum. It subsequently travelled to the “Christos Pavlidis” Gallery at the Xanthi Municipal Arts Centre, and to the Alexandroupolis Historical Museum.

2004 – “The history of the Athens School of Fine Arts through the work of its teachers, 1840-1974”
Exhibition of work by teachers from the Athens School of Fine Arts. The show included the following works by Emmanouil D. Lampakis: Sklavochori, The Gyzis house on Tinos, Reading the letter to her friends, Portrait of a maid in a white dress.

2002 – “1884-1930: From the Christian Collection to the Byzantine Museum”
Byzantine and Christian Museum, Athens. The show included Emmanouil D. Lampakis’ portrait of Georgios Lampakis, the founder of the Christian Archaeological Society and the Christian Museum.

2000 – “Athens-Munich: Art and Culture in the new Greece”. Athens Art Gallery.
The show included the following works by Emmanouil D. Lampakis: Master Blacksmith, Self-portrait, Peasant Girl with a hen, A Cottage.

1990 – The album of the 1896 Olympic Games: Municipality of Athens “Olympic Souvenirs”. Athens Municipal Cultural Centre.

1987 – Exhibition marking 150 years of the Athens School of Fine Arts with works by the teachers who taught there. Athens Art Gallery. The show included the following works by Emmanouil D. Lampakis: Self-portrait, A Drunkard, Shacks 2.

 

 


The Lampakis Family Archives are also involved in a number of projects in the context of EU programmes focused on research, culture, education and the Information Society.
