Collaborations
The Lampakis Family Archives collaborate with important research and cultural institutions including the Byzantine and Christian Museum, the University of Athens, the Benaki Photographic Archive, the Dimitris Pontikoulis Museum of Sport and the Christian Archaeological Society.
The Archive actively seeks to develop new partnerships with bodies and organizations with a view to implementing its goals. The LFA’s partnerships have helped it implement programmes, publications and exhibitions whose content have contributed to the achievement of its goals—namely, the housing, organizing, conserving and promotion of its collections.
The renovation of Georgios Lampakis’ two-storey listed residence is one of the Lampakis Family Archives’ primary goals. The conversion of the house into a permanent home for the Archive will afford researchers and the academic community easy access to its collections. Greek institutions and the private sector have recognized the Lampakis Family Archives’ work and aims and contributed to their achievement with practical support. For its part, the LFA strives daily to form new and fruitful partnerships for the implementation of national and EU programmes, and to locate suitable sources of funding.
