The three brothers Ioannis, Georgios and Emmanouil Lampakis of Mountados, Tinos, played an active role in the artistic and cultural life of Greece in the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries. As a photographer prior to being ordained a priest, Ioannis D. Lampakis (1851-1916) took part and distinguished himself in numerous photographic competitions and was the official photographer for the first modern Olympic Games.
